Farm & Feast Hose Update (12 Sep 2026)

Dummy dino’s post-demo watering pass — trees, seedlings, splash, and a longer hose.

Hose and Watering Update

On 12 Sep 2026 dummy dino posted from @zbeedev: “Watering just got a lot more fun. The hose wraps around more trees now, and the seedling watering effects are much better. Finally, the Demo is LIVE!” That is the newest public gameplay note after the 11 Sep 2026 Steam demo day. This page records it so the farming guide and the mini-games page stay aligned. It is not a November 11 launch changelog. The full game remains dated 11 Nov 2026.

What the 12 Sep post actually says

Three claims, all from the developer, none invented here:

  1. The hose wraps around more trees.
  2. Seedling watering effects look better.
  3. The free demo is the live Steam slice.

A video clip sat on that post. Official motion for Farm & Feast still lives on Steam store trailers and on X, not on a dummy dino YouTube channel we can verify. This wiki will not paste a different cozy restaurant’s YouTube ID.

What we already knew about the hose

Before that post, public facts were:

  • Store copy: plant, water, harvest, send produce to the restaurant.
  • Screenshots: farmer holding a blue hose beside a tank and a Water Pump overlay (hold Space in the red band).
  • 25 Aug 2026, zbeedev reply: the hose “has a limit, but you can upgrade it to make it longer.”
  • 11 Sep 2026, zbeedev reply: splash feedback on the hose “was exactly what we were going for.”
  • 25 Aug 2026, zbeedev reply: the game is built in Unity.

The 12 Sep note is a juice-and-collision pass on top of that. More tree wraps means the stream collides with the pine belt around the plots instead of clipping through. Better seedling effects means watering a just-planted bed should read more clearly — useful when you are racing the Closed clock.

How to play after the pass

Do not change your crop plan. Tomatoes still feed Tomato Soup and Rigatoni. Read the crop tier list. What changes is feel:

  • Expect the hose to hug trees in the woodland farm instead of ignoring them.
  • Watch seedlings when you water; if the new effect is obvious, you will waste less time wondering whether a bed took water.
  • If the stream stops on trunks, walk a step. Dummy dino previously said water “stops where it hits, and it pushes things around” (24 Aug 2026 playtest post). That physical stream is the same toy, now wrapping more trees.
  • Upgrade path for length still exists according to the 25 Aug reply. Treat Upgrade-tab mysteries as optional until you screenshot the tile yourself — see the market.

Pump first if the tank is low. Wrapping trees will not fill an empty cylinder. The mini-games page still owns the Space timing.

Demo versus playtest

August posts talked about a Steam playtest with staged seating and emails. September posts talk about a public free demo (app 4691110). If you sat in the playtest, do not assume your save or your hose length carried over. Dummy dino has not posted a public guarantee. Ask on Discord — the studio’s X bio currently points at discord.gg/R4axNmvkQF; the Steam page has also listed discord.gg/UMFdVr26sh. Try the bio invite first if one 404s. Both belong on links.

Engine and hardware

Unity is the engine the developer named. That does not rewrite Steam’s spec sheet. Windows minimum is still Intel UHD 630 / i5-7360U class. If watering effects stutter on integrated graphics, close extra browsers, then keep the farm small so you are not pumping and spraying in a 30-tree thicket. Full numbers stay on system requirements.

What this page will not do

  • Invent a patch version number dummy dino did not print.
  • Claim the full game shipped. Steam still lists 11 Nov 2026.
  • Embed an unrelated “Farm to Table” YouTube trailer. That is a different Steam app.
  • Rank “best hose upgrades” without tiles.

One Steam demo review at the time of this note called the slice “So fun! Can’t wait for the whole game,” with about 164 minutes played. That is an anecdote, not a score. Need more reviews before anyone quotes a rating.

If you are opening the demo for the first time after this watering pass, still start on Getting Started, then farm while Closed. The new tree wraps are a reason to enjoy the hose, not a reason to skip Check Please.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the Farm & Feast demo and the 11 Nov 2026 Steam launch.

Did Farm & Feast get a watering patch?

On 12 Sep 2026 dummy dino posted that the hose wraps more trees and seedling watering looks better. That is a demo juice pass, not the 11 Nov 2026 launch.

Can I make the hose longer?

A 25 Aug 2026 developer reply said the hose has a limit you can upgrade to make longer. Screenshot the Upgrade tab in your save; this wiki will not invent the tile.

Is the game made in Unity?

Yes. Dummy dino said so in a 25 Aug 2026 reply. Specs on Steam are unchanged; see system requirements.

Where is the official Discord now?

The X bio lists https://discord.gg/R4axNmvkQF. Steam has also printed https://discord.gg/UMFdVr26sh. Both are on official links.
